<p>Originally designed as a replacement for a student's spelling notebook that lists words to be learned for school each week, SpellingNotebook offers a convenient digital solution. Unlike a paper notebook, SpellingNotebook allows users to hear each word spoken, enabling testing and practice without relying solely on written cues. With a full searchable spelling dictionary, students can easily add new words to their word list, reducing the risk of entry errors.</p>

<p>The built-in spelling dictionary automatically adjusts based on your region. For users outside the US, Canada, Australia, and NZ, the UK spelling dictionary is selected by default.</p>

<p>Please note that recording words on iPod touch models prior to the 4th generation requires an external microphone. The app will prompt you if no microphone is detected.</p>
